LOVE IS ART BY ELLIE KIMMES
“Art takes patience, dedication, practice, creativity, open mind, and an open heart…so does love. Love is art” says Jeremy Brown, the master-mind artist behind the “Love is Art” kit and experience. While I personally did not purchase the kit (I decided to go with a cheaper option of a Walmart canvas and washable acrylic paint), this idea of creative expression was introduced to me and I knew I needed to try it. My boyfriend was hesitant but after a little convincing, we tried it out in his tiny dorm room and had the best time. In a video about the concept, Jeremy mentions how he loves that just by looking at a painting you can’t tell if it was a gay couple, a straight couple, a white couple or a mixed couple, all you can tell is that it was two people making love. So if you ever want to step outside of your comfort zone and get a little creative, I would highly recommend making art… and love.
