Since 2008 Friedman has taught Creativity, Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Miami University helping learners “live it” creatively. The work on this site is dedicated to sharing creativity and personal branding.
Ask fifty people to describe Friedman and you’ll get fifty different answers….all true. He is a paradox. Student-Teacher. Quiet-Demanding. But all will agree on his passion and dedication to sharing the magic of creativity and innovation in everything he does.
What's behind each of the headings? Check out how our students are finding their best creative selves.
Tell me about you. We hear that all the time. Our first answers are usually gender, occupation, hometown, school, major. But what is your brand? Who are you at your core? Not who you want to be or who your mother thinks you are … but who you truly are in all situations. Your brand has a color and a font, a look and a feel. Can your brand be expressed in a word or a sentence, a quote, lyric or just an image?
These are Elevator Images. Personal Branding statements created by students at Miami University. Many of these students use their Elevator Images to support their job searches. We hope these inspire you to create yours… and share them with us.
What are your believes about creativity? How do you intend to live a more creative life? These are questions our creativity students grapple with all semester. Using the creative tools they practiced, students formulate what creativity means to them in their personal life and state the creative that they wish to be. Creativity Manifestos are our students declaring their creative life.
Our creativity curriculum covers a lot of tools, concepts and ideas. Dr. Jim Friedman writes about some of the big creative topics our students learn and the process of how you make it happen.
