“Why can’t we open up a café like this? Mom can be the cook, sissy can be the interior designer, and I’ll just run the rest of the business,” I said facetiously, sitting across from my father as we waited for our food to be delivered at Patterson’s Café.  

Seconds later, two words were happily spoken by my father who, mind you, has never confronted ambiguity with a smile in his life – “Why not?”

Three years and 120 credits later, these two words sparked my decision to enter the world of creativity and enthusiastically switch my major from finance to entrepreneurship.
