WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I STOP CARING ABOUT THAT ‘A’ BY MADISON BOGARD

Grades are important, right? Or so we are told from before we can even remember. I have spent my life striving for the highest grade possible, just like every other dedicated student out there. So it might seem odd to hear me say you really shouldn’t care about your grade.

I stopped obsessing over my GPA and started to sit back and take in all of the knowledge pouring out of my professors. I began to really reflect on how different lessons and concepts could apply to my life and the world around me. I became more aware of how my different courses complemented each other in new ways and began to draw a deeper understanding in every area of my studies.

The relief you will feel from letting yourself stop caring about your grade will give you the energy to really love learning again. Remember you are here for an experience and education, not just that A.
