CARPE DIEM: THE ENJOYMENT OF THE PLEASURES OF THE MOMENT WITHOUT CONCERN FOR THE FUTURE. BY KC HUTMACHER

I am not the person who has it all figured out. I am scattered and connected, brave and fearful, genuine and doubtful. Part of me wants to know all the answers, but most of me just wants to live amongst the questions.

I live my life the same way in which I walk down the street. I take things one step at a time, one moment before the next. I live in the moment, and for the moment. I live for the curves in the road because it’s just as much about the journey as it is about the destination. This, in my opinion, is living creatively.

To live creatively is to seize the day. Make the most of what you have and be in the moment. Creativity is about being able to recognize opportunities and run with the craziest of ideas. It is an intangible notion that few are able to grasp. It is embracing the unknown and all that lies before you.

Creativity isn’t a characteristic. It isn’t a unique facet of someone’s existence. It’s a way of life. It’s the way I live my life. You have to be ready for anything. You have to seize the day.
