KANYE WEST, THE CREATIVE MASTERMIND BY PAUL WILLIAMS

KANYE WEST, THE CREATIVE MASTERMIND BY PAUL WILLIAMS

Kanye West, rapper, producer, fashion designer, and according to Time Magazine, “Titan of the World”. That’s right, in April 2016 Time Magazine named Kanye West one of the top 100 most influential people on the face of the Earth. Kanye’s creative process cannot be argued, as he continues to push creative boundaries in music, media, and clothing.

A big social media shockwave was Kanye’s recent Famous music video, (pictured). For his video Kanye shows different celebrities sharing a symbolical bed together naked. Celebrities portrayed in the video include Donald Trump, wife Kim, Taylor Swift, George Bush, and Bill Cosby. At the end he thanks them all for being “Famous”. All of the people pictured are celebrities and many of them had been involved in recent news stories, or personal drama with West himself.

Kanye West has also posted a business canvas for DONDA, his creative content company. West stated that he plans to “pick up where Steve Jobs left off” and that DONDA is “a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers in a creative space to bounce their dreams and ideas”. Kanye’s DONDA ideas touch on fashion, where he is currently making waves working with Adidas on his 4th collection. Some ideas are much more vague and larger scale, ranging from a “7 screen movie experience” to developing a cure for cancer and global sustainability projects

Personally “Reach for the stars so if you fall you land on a cloud” is my favorite Kanye west lyric, and I think that it heavily reflects his life achievements. Kanye west has never been afraid to dream big, he has pushed for achievement in multiple industries while personally developing as a global influence.
