WALKING TOWARDS GREATNESS BY LOGAN GLENNIE

WALKING TOWARDS GREATNESS BY LOGAN GLENNIE

What makes me different? I want to be unique and remembered not only through my

interactions with people but through what I create with photography. I began taking photos

about a year and a half ago just for fun. It quickly became an addiction. I wanted to learn and

grow and be the best there ever was. But as I was experimenting and creating, I started to feel

bogged down. I so desperately wanted to stand out through a unique creative lens but felt like

there were already too many creative styles defined and that I would never reach mine. I then

discovered film photography. Getting back to the basics and relearning photography in a whole

different perspective has been a valuable process and caused me to slow down. I thought to

myself, “maybe I don’t have to have this whole style thing down right now.” My heart yearns to

be great at whatever I do and it’s not any different for photography. Although I had a moment

of realization, remaining at peace in this fast paced and forever morphing age is something that

I still struggle with often. But as I continue to create and iterate on my style, I can see myself

getting better. Little by little I am growing towards me. And one day, someone will come upon a

photo in Vogue and know that it was taken by me.
