CHOOSE BOLDLY BY MARGE PILKINGTON

My HBDI code is 2121.  This means that I have almost identical green and yellow scores.  In ESP 252, we learned about how left-brain and right-brain dominant people think, as well as how top and bottom brain dominant people think… but then I asked, “What if the two sides of my brain HATE each other?”  While that sounds like an aggressive word to use to refer to my brain, I sometimes feel like that.  I constantly have this battle in my brain between the yellow part telling me to be bold and take risks, and the green part of my brain telling me to be careful and choose the safe option.

After learning this about myself, I have reflected on my experiences – and I have realized that I usually take the risky route when pursuing the small experiences, but I take the safe route when it comes to big, life changing decisions.  Many times, I regret taking the safe, green brained, route on these life changing decisions. Therefore, I am taking steps to choose boldly in my life-changing decisions and start ignoring my voice of judgement.  I recommend that you start choosing boldly and ignore your VOJ.
