IT'S A DOGGIE DOG WORLD BY ISABELLE AERNI

I have wanted a dog since I was a little girl. I always thought it would bring structure to my family, but after spending the summer training dogs, I think it would also bring creativity.

If your dog has enough structure, you let them off the leash, wandering far from your grasp. They get to explore and discover new things but return home when called.

I want my creativity to be more like a dog's. Yes, I can follow the laws and rules of what we know and complete things on time, but I can also go beyond the borders of a leash and reach out to new places. I can reach beyond my own boundaries and find something new.

Yes, my life needs structure and discipline (I am an engineering major after all), but I also need creativity. All my problems need a combination of structure and freedom.

What if everyone looked at the world from a dog’s point of view? If I look out on my world through the lens of a dog, what will I find?
