SCREW MONOTONY BY WILL BOWATER

SCREW MONOTONY BY WILL BOWATER

In a world where people fall so easily into a ridged routine and the days blend together so easily, creativity becomes more important. Basic activities that could be solved through a first right answer can now be expanded upon or flipped on their heads to be done more interestingly, efficiently, or perhaps just more made more entertaining.

A visit to a coffee shop with a long line no longer becomes an obstacle but an opportunity to push your voice of judgment and introduce yourself to the people around you and see what they’re up to that day. You then give yourself the chance to listen and learn from their lives and experiences and perhaps use them to change your day . You’re waiting in line anyways might as well use the time productively. Instead of mindlessly scrolling through Instagram and looking at photoshopped lives you are now talking to someone about their more honest day to day life who you have never met before. Or you ran into a grouch who you learned not to talk to before their coffee and you’ll have to move onto the next person.

Using creativity to be more present and expand on tasks that we usually just take for granted will bring greater learning and enjoyment of life through pushing boundaries. In this modern era, it is often so easy to fall into a pattern of boring activities, finding second right answers is my favorite solution to the problem.
