YOU ARE YOUR ENVIRONMENT BY ALLIE GILL

An unbreakable habit of mine is my ability to turn to organize when I procrastinate. Uncovered by my HBDI thinking preference, my brain turns to quadrant B: green when I am under stress. Green solidifies where I thrive with planning and organization and insist on being given as much detail as possible to make an informed decision on really anything. Unlikely enough, this stress and organization are where my creativity stems from the most. When I am stressed and procrastinating, I usually start to organize the space I am in. I can’t do anything until it’s inviting, and while I’m organizing, I become my most creative and I can feel a shift in my brain. My creative-self starts in my space, which is influenced by my choices in lighting, colors, and arrangement to stimulate my creativity and innovation. My organizational practices promote a feeling of openness and structure to give me the area to heighten my creative energy.
