UNLEARNING AND LEARNING BY VEDIKA GUPTA

UNLEARNING AND LEARNING BY VEDIKA GUPTA

As a child, Creativity wasn’t a difficult concept, I could look at an object and imagine 100 things it can be or I can do with it. As I grew older, my voice of judgment also grew . It was making 70% of my decisions, judging and questioning almost everything I do  that self doubt would naturally come in.

As we grow older, a lot of things that we do pertaining to creativity are sometimes deemed as childish which  feeds the voice of judgement more confidence to be a bigger critique.

So how do you unlearn the way you have grown up and unleash your creativity? How do you take bold steps, fall in love with ambiguity instead of fearing it and challenge yourself to do things you were told not to?

For me, it started with recognizing my voice of judgement, instead of making it a permanent member of my brain, I had to make it an unwelcomed guest. Saying yes to new experiences, new adventures, letting my imagination out of a cage and most importantly recognizing that there is nothing as thinking outside of the box, as. So Are you creative? If not, what are you doing to be more creative?
