Practice what you preach.

So many people,

Both students and adults

Will tell you about how important risk is.

How failure is good,

It is a learning experience,

And how even the greats fail constantly.

However,

These are the same people,

Who will get down on themselves,

Feel ashamed when they do not do well,

And are consistently living inside of their comfort zone.

But I am no different,

I have done poorly on assignments,

I have failed tests,

And I have turned in terrible portfolios (Sorry Friedman).

But,

Be proactive,

Own your failures,

Address those feelings and emotions that you feel that you cannot control,

And make improvements.

I would be a hypocrite if I did not

Practice what I preach.

So, Dr. Friedman, in your inbox will be the new iteration of my portfolio.
