Innovating is similar to solving a puzzle that has an infinite number of solutions, with some solutions being way better than others. After you have defined your problem statement, it is a process of taking ideas formed during ideation (puzzle pieces) and seeing which pieces fit together to form potential puzzle solutions. Then you take your puzzle that fits best with your problem statement, and start testing it to see if it will work. Your goal when putting the puzzle together is not to just finish it, but rather finding and putting together the right puzzle for your specific problem statement. If it doesn’t work or you think it could be better, try other puzzles or start the process over until you find one that works. It’ll take time, but the result is worth it.
