I am someone who has been known to be “directionally challenged” as my sisters would call it. By this, I mean that I get lost very frequently. I was that freshman that carried a physical map the first two months of classes. I simply didn’t trust Google Maps enough to get me where I needed to go because even with a GPS talking out loud to me, I can still make wrong turns. Sometimes I impress myself by how lost I can suddenly become.

Combining this with the fact that I also love being in nature can be very dangerous. There is something about hiking and exploring trails that both relaxes me and makes me more appreciative of life. It encourages and inspires me to envision the possibilities of what could be instead of just accepting what is.

In the past, I have had a some concerning moments of feeling lost. Especially when I am alone, it is easy to not be sure of the right way to go. Think about the possibilities. Is there ever truly a right way or a wrong way? Why do we treat being lost as though it is a terrible thing? What if instead of treating the moments where you felt lost, you treated them as opportunities for exploration?

Imagine the infinite possibilities by simply changing your frame of mind.
