WALK LIKE A TALL PERSON BY ADRIANA COOPER

WALK LIKE A TALL PERSON BY ADRIANA COOPER

My goal is to be the tallest person in every room I walk into. Because after a lifetime of short jokes, being an armrest and hearing the question “Wow how short are you?” I refuse to let my height define me. Let’s get one thing straight: I am short, not small.

I know how easily I can be overlooked, both figuratively and literally, so I’ve constantly battled with wondering what is the best way to get people’s attention. It was only when I embraced my height, that people saw me as confident and strong rather than for my 5ft frame.

When we take the time to establish our values and what we want to be remembered for, we shouldn’t feel the need to panic or drop everything we know. Instead we should strive to be empowered by our future self and focus on what’s stopping us from getting there. Everyone is a short girl in their own way, we all have something we have to learn how to be proud of, and when we do we’re one step closer to becoming the person we aspire to be rather than settling for anything less.

Tired of being small? Then start walking like a tall person.
